Express Employment Professionals is partnering with Sun Opta to recruit Production Workers and Mixer Operators for their growing manufacturing team. As a Production Worker with Suopta, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining food product packaging equipment while ensuring products meet the highest quality and food safety standards.
Responsibilities Include:- Operate mixer and processing equipment.
- Perform clean-in-place (CIP) cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and clear material jams.
- Complete quality inspections and food safety checks.
- Monitor raw materials and production supplies.
- Maintain accurate production documentation.
- Communicate effectively during shift handoffs.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all GMP, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist team members as needed to keep production running efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred (but not required): 2+ years of food manufacturing experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Climb stairs and work throughout a manufacturing facility.
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Comfortable working around food allergens and production equipment.
- Dependable and safety-focused.
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- A team player who communicates well.
- Comfortable working independently when needed.
- Motivated to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.
