POSITION SUMMARY The Marketing Manager leads our marketing and communications efforts. As the steward of the White Pass brand, you will craft compelling campaigns that celebrate what makes this mountain unique — its welcoming atmosphere, family-friendly culture, and world-class mountain experiences. Drawing on deep knowledge of our guests and community, you will drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty across all channels.

Supervise staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
Oversee daily operations and respond to emerging issues with independent decision-making
Monitor departmental performance and implement improvements to workflows and service delivery
Ensure compliance with resort policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
Participate in cross-departmental planning and contribute to resource allocation decisions in collaboration with directors and peer managers
Brand & Storytelling Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy that authentically represents the White Pass brand
Tell the White Pass story in a way that resonates with both long-time community members and first-time guests
Maintain and evolve the mountain's welcoming, family-friendly identity across all communications and platforms
Campaigns & Content Develop and execute campaigns that spotlight key products, experiences, events, and new offerings
Oversee content creation across digital, social, email, and print channels
Integrate new mountain offerings and seasonal updates into the overall brand narrative
Cross-Departmental Collaboration Partner with departments including the Learning Center, Rental, Food & Beverage, and Operations to align marketing with on-mountain reality
Work directly with staff to bring new ideas to life and improve the day-to-day guest experience through effective communication
Represent the marketing perspective in leadership and planning discussions
Data & Analytics Collect, analyze, and apply guest feedback and mountain performance data to refine marketing strategies
Track campaign performance and adjust tactics to optimize reach and impact
Streamline marketing systems and product communications for clarity and efficiencyQUALIFICATIONSRequired3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
Proven ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and digital analytics
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
Preferred
Experience in ski resort, outdoor recreation, or hospitality marketing
Familiarity with White Pass Ski Area, its community, and mountain culture
Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent)
Background in photography, videography, or content production PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit at a computer workstation, operate standard office equipment, and use a phone and camera equipment. The role requires clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing, when working with coworkers, guests, and partners. At times, marketing staff may need to ski or snowboard in order to capture media, attend events, or represent the ski area in an on-hill setting.
This requires the ability to safely navigate varying terrain and conditions while carrying or using equipment such as cameras or promotional materials. The employee may also be required to stand, walk, bend, or move…
