Job SummarySt.Francis Borgia Grade School, a vibrant Catholic school community in the heart of Washington, is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Aftercare Director to supervise students and aides in the school's aftercare program. The Aftercare Director plays a key role in providing a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for students after school hours.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and engage with students during after-school hours in a safe and supportive setting.
- Organize activities, games, and snacks for children ranging from preschool through 8th grade.
- Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with school and program guidelines.
- Support a positive, faith-filled environment that reflects the values of St. Francis Borgia School.
- Help with cleanup and maintaining a tidy, organized space at the end of each session.
- Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Principal in a timely manner.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
- Experience working with children in a school, daycare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
- Ability to manage groups of children in a calm, nurturing, and effective manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be dependable, patient, and flexible.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Completion of Archdiocesan Safe Environment training and background screening required.
