We are currently seeking Substitute Teachers for the  school year.

Pay is determined by the total hours worked during the academic year.

$135.00 per day / $19.29 per hour.

Retired Teachers: $150.00 per day / $21.43 per hour.

MUST HAVE a Missouri Substitute Certificate to be considered.

Substitute teachers are responsible for providing direct instruction to students and maintaining an environment conducive to learning. They are responsible for implementing substitute plans as written by the teacher.

Substitute teachers are responsible for supervising students, implementing the District curriculum and assessment plan, and utilizing resources accordingly.

• Provide instruction that cognitively engages all students, increases critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and assess learning to guide instruction. This instruction should be in accordance with the provided substitute plans.
• Build and maintain secure relationships with students as well as maintaining professional relationships with colleagues, parents, and patrons.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with timelines including individual student records, classroom records, content area reports, grade level reports, and building/department records. These records should be consistent with provided substitute plans and building requirements.
• Other duties as directed by the supervisor.
• Regular and reliable attendance as it aligns to the scope of the position.

• Additional duties necessary to supervise students, monitor events or assist in an emergency situation.

Supervise students at all times and/or as directed by the supervisor.

Supervise events as described above and/or directed by the supervisor.

Bachelor degree or higher preferred.

Valid Missouri substitute teaching certification required; multiple teaching certifications preferred.

The candidate should be able to move in and around the classroom, building, District buildings, and campus locations. Consistent attendance as well as general functioning in a school setting.

The candidate should have the ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate clearly both orally and in writing, utilize District resources including District issued technology and programs required to fulfill the essential job duties.
