The School District of Washington is currently seeking a Lunch Monitor at Washington Middle School for the 2026/2027 School Year. This position is part-time (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours per day) and is an option for 5 days a week. The pay rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.

Lunch Monitors are responsible for supervising students during the lunch shift, including classes while at lunch in the cafeteria and while at lunch recess.

This position is directly responsible for student supervision during the lunch shift. Supervision includes indoor and outdoor supervision and multiple grade levels or class sections depending on the size of the building assigned.

• Supervise students in the cafeteria, in designated recess areas, and hallways.
• Provide various assistance to students based on individual needs.
• Report accidents, events, and/or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain regular attendance as it aligns to the scope of this position.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

• Additional duties necessary for special events, or to assist in an emergency situation.
• Participate in professional development activities and/or training as required or needed for this position.

Student supervisory duties required.

High School Diploma or higher

Satisfactory completion of Background Checks standard for school volunteers and school employees

Satisfactory completion of required training standard for school employees
