Job Description
The School District of Washington is currently seeking a Lunch Monitor at South Point Elementary. This position is part-time (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours per day) 5 days a week. The pay rate for this position is $15.00 per hour.
Starting Date: Aug 24, 2026
ResponsibilitiesLunch Monitors are responsible for supervising students during the lunch shift, including classes while at lunch in the cafeteria and during lunch recess.
Essential Duties- Supervise students in the cafeteria, in designated recess areas, and hallways.
- Provide various assistance to students based on individual needs.
- Report accidents, events, and/or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain regular attendance as aligns to the scope of this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance as aligns to this position.
- Additional duties necessary for special events or to assist in an emergency situation.
- Participate in professional development activities and/or training as required.
- High School Diploma or higher.
- Satisfactory completion of Background Checks standard for school volunteers and school employees.
- Satisfactory completion of required training standard for school employees.
All employees of the District are expected to adhere to the policies and regulations of the Board of Education, maintain appropriate certification and competencies necessary for the position, complete required training annually, and demonstrate the values of the District at all times.
Environmental ConditionsTypical school environment including both indoor and outdoor activities during all seasons and various weather conditions. The noise level in this environment is moderate to loud.
