Electronics Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to design, develop, and test new electronic products for our refrigeration and comfort cooling sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in new product development while also contributing to the resolution of technical issues related to existing products, both in production and in the field. This person will work closely with Product Management, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
We are looking to fill this position in either our Mirabel, Quebec or Washington, Missouri location.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Design and test electronic circuits for new products and revisions of existing products.
- Oversee printed circuit board (PCB) design and manage bill of materials (BOMs).
- Identify, evaluate, and approve alternate components as needed.
- Plan, coordinate, and support product qualification testing.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for new products.
- Develop test fixturing and testing procedures for manufacturing.
- Coordinate product compliance testing with external laboratories and analyze the results.
- Provide general technical support to other departments within the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Significant experience in electronic product design and development.
- Proficiency with PCB CAD tools (Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, KiCAD preferred).
- Strong experience using electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters.
- Experience with IEC 61000 standards is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to solder & rework surface-mount components (SMD/SMT) under a microscope.
- Basic knowledge of embedded programming in C / C++.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Strong learning agility and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with UL 60730 family of standards is a plus.
- Good understanding of refrigeration principles is preferred.
