We are looking for an experienced engineering team member who is ready to take on challenging HVAC/R projects, collaborate with engineers, and turn innovative ideas into high‑performance solutions.

Scope / Supervision and Interaction

Typical reporting structure: has direct reports or does not have direct reports (specified as appropriate for the role).

Essential Functions
  • Develops detailed product specifications by analyzing performance and customer requirements. Investigates factors such as function, materials, performance, interchangeability, cost, operational efficiency, and contractual requirements.

  • Performs feasibility and trade studies using standard analytical methods; recommends solutions defined for implementation.

  • Interprets and validates test results for accuracy and precision. Ensures conformance to product qualification procedures and parameters to achieve customer and product reliability and safety standards. May utilize predictive models to simulate and verify design concepts.

  • Provides technical information for review with product engineering teams using established practices, standards, and documentation methods. Writes procedures and technical reports; may assist in writing technical proposals for customers.

  • Contributes to completion milestones for projects (e.g., create functional diagrams and system layouts; review drawings and schematics; define data structures, interfaces and programming logic; analyze material requirements; research customer data item requirements).

  • Reviews product specifications to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, function, and conformity to standards. Identifies design errors and suggests revisions, engineering change orders, and improvements to engineering management or the project team.

  • Maintains current professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and/or participating in professional associations.

  • Shares specialized knowledge with others. May mentor new employees. May represent the company on specific projects or engineering tasks.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 8–10 years of related experience.

  • Working knowledge of engineering domain principles, product functionality, industry practices, regulations, and policies. General knowledge of related engineering and technical areas.

  • Proficient with engineering design and analysis tools (e.g., CAD or modeling systems); ability to use standard software packages. Demonstrated experience with FEA, flow analysis, including CFD evaluation.

  • Experience with induction braze technologies and associated design requirements.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Zero Defects, project management, FMEA and quality systems experience preferred.

  • Ability to work with general objectives regarding projects and team goals; applies judgment in selecting procedures and techniques. Works collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to effectively communicate status, actions, recommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision. Responsive to inquiries from other engineering and business teams.
