Surgical Support AssociateDepartment: Operating Room

Status: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Shift: Days
Make a Difference Every DayUnder the direction of the perioperative leader, assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient’s highest level of wellness. Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.
What You’ll Do- Turnover and clean OR rooms between procedures
- Assist with equipment and supply maintenance
- Transport and position patients; document basic patient data (vitals, POC testing, etc.)
- Report any unusual changes in patient condition to appropriate staff
- Communicate with clinical team to support smooth workflows
- Train new team members (based on competency)
- Use strong time‑management and clinical judgment
- Help with clerical tasks as needed
- Follow all safety, infection prevention, and patient rights policies
- Use unit technology (computers, pagers, zone phones, Rover, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: No experience required (we’ll train you!)
- Certifications:
- BLS required or obtained within 90 days
- CNA may be required depending on location
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, and grip
