Position Summary
We are seeking a Production Scheduler to analyze customer demand and production timelines, create sales orders and coordinate with the site Leadership Team to ensure final production schedules are created accurately, timely and efficiently to meet production goals.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Convert planned orders to production orders, release and print.
- Create and review work orders according to sales order demand.
- Review and analyze customer dates to support contract dates.
- Maintain dispatch list and production schedule.
- Maintain daily metrics.
- Plan and control all scheduling activities supporting assigned brands.
- Balance production and inventory levels with demand to support target consistent with 99% customer service levels, inventory turn goals and capacity utilization requirements.
- Review sales forecasts, open orders, backorders and future dated orders daily and adjust production schedules accordingly.
- Actively preview, communicate and coordinate the production schedule with Operations to ensure effective and efficient manufacturing execution.
- Proactively resolve issues that might prevent schedules from being completed to plan.
- Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering and CSR’s to overcome scheduling obstacles.
- Onsite presence is required; this is not a hybrid role.
- Bachelor’s degree diploma or experience equivalency required.
- Intermediate level in Excel is required.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement daily.
- Takes initiative to resolve planning and purchasing issues without supervision.
- Willingly participates with production teams to resolve production, purchasing and planning issues.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud.
- Required to wear PPE when working on the manufacturing floor, including eye, ear and foot protection.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10‑50 pounds.
