Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patients highest level of wellness. Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the importance of group goals. Performs designated clinical procedures and non‑clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.

Position: Patient Care Associate (PCA)

Department: Cardiac Telemetry
Shift: Full Time- 36 Hours Per Week - Day Shift

$1500 SIGN ON BONUS- DAY SHIFT

Welcome to our fast‑paced 35‑bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit, where every day is an opportunity to make a difference! We care for patients with STEMI, post‑cardiac catheterization, CHF, arrhythmias, stroke management, and more. With a supportive nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 1:4, our PCAs play a vital role in delivering compassionate, top‑quality care.

Work alongside skilled RNs and LPNs to help our patients achieve their highest level of wellness through personalized care.

Patient Care Associate (PCA) Responsibilities:

• Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records
• Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport
• Provide clerical support as needed

Growth Opportunity — Become a Patient Care Technician (PCT):

• Perform PCA duties plus:
  Phlebotomy & blood cultures
• Enteral feeding, wound care
• IV and Foley catheter removal
• Trach care and suctioning

• Accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offers hands‑on, comprehensive training
• New hires complete a 175‑hour training program as part of orientation (no prior experience needed!)
• Required BLS certification within one month of hire
• Complete PCA competencies within 3 months to stay on the team

• High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in healthcare programs
• No prior experience required — we provide full training!
• Physical ability to lift/push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical patient care tasks
• Preferred:
  Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
