Mercy is seeking dedicated healthcare professionals to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team at Mercy Hospital Washington. In this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patients and families across a range of medical needs. Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based direct patient care in an acute or outpatient hospital setting.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vital signs and clinical status, and promptly report changes in condition to the care team.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and document all care in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
  • Coordinate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, discharge instructions, and ongoing self-care, using clear and supportive communication.
  • Uphold infection prevention, safety, and quality standards, including proper hand hygiene, equipment use, and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and the overall experience.
  • Contribute to a culture of compassion, respect, and diversity, supporting Mercy’s mission and values in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications
  • Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtained within specified timeframe
  • Prior acute care or hospital‑based clinical experience preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
  • Proof of required immunizations and ability to meet occupational health requirements
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
