Role Overview
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating care effectiveness. Coordinates patient care with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality, and upholds organizational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesCaring for a diverse patient population in a 30-bed Med/Surg unit, supporting teamwork, and maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6. Assists with complex wound care, post-op recovery, and managing conditions such as GI, oncology, COPD, pneumonia, UTI, and dehydration. Supports patient care with associates and fosters a supportive team environment.
Qualifications & SkillsGraduate of an accredited RN program, active RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and unit-specific areas. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform mobility tasks during shifts.
Key DutiesDeliver high-quality patient care, evaluate and coordinate care plans, maintain compliance with standards, and support the care team. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.
