Shift: Full Time – 36 Hours Per Week – Day Shift
Sign-On Bonus: $1500 (Day Shift)
About Our Department: Welcome to our fast‑paced 35‑bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit where we care for patients with STEMI, post‑cardiac catheterization, CHF, arrhythmias, stroke management, and more. With a 1:4 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, PCAs play a vital role in delivering compassionate, top‑quality care. We believe in teamwork, clear communication, accountability, and mutual respect to provide exceptional care to every patient.
Position OverviewWork alongside skilled RNs and LPNs to help patients achieve their highest level of wellness through personalized care.
What You'll Do- Take and document vital signs in electronic medical records.
- Assist patients with meals, bathing, toileting, mobility, and transport.
- Provide clerical support as needed.
- Perform PCA duties plus:
- Phlebotomy & blood cultures.
- Enteral feeding, wound care.
- IV and Foley catheter removal.
- Trach care and suctioning.
- Accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program offers hands‑on, comprehensive training.
- New hires complete a 175‑hour training program as part of orientation (no prior experience needed).
- BLS certification required within one month of hire.
- Complete PCA competencies within 3 months to stay on the team.
- High school diploma or GED, or CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in healthcare programs.
- No prior experience required – full training provided.
- Physical ability to lift or push 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical patient care tasks.
- Preferred:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
