Medical Assistant or LPN

Mercy is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant or LPN to support patients and providers in our busy outpatient clinics. In this role, you'll room patients, obtain vital signs and medical histories, assist with exams and minor procedures, and administer medications or injections within your scope. You will document accurately in the EHR, coordinate appointments and referrals, and reinforce patient education. Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients, obtain vitals, histories, and chief complaints
• Support providers during exams, treatments, and minor procedures
• Administer medications and injections per scope and physician orders
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic diagnostic tests
• Accurately document in the EHR and maintain organized medical records
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up care instructions
• Reinforce patient education on treatments, medications, and self-care
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection-control standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support care plans
• Uphold Mercy's standards of compassionate, culturally sensitive care
