Sign-On Bonus
  • $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for Experienced Registered Nurses
  • $15,000 Sign-On Bonus for New Graduate Nurses

About The Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit

Join a fast-paced, high-acuity 30-bed Surgical and Orthopedic Unit that cares for a diverse population of medical and post-surgical patients. Nurses on this unit gain valuable experience in both medical-surgical nursing and orthopedic nursing while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Patient Populations Include
  • Orthopedic surgery patients including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
  • Post-operative general surgery patients
  • Appendectomies
  • Cholecystectomies
  • Colon resections
  • Bariatric surgery patients
  • Sepsis treatment and recovery
  • Pancreatitis care
  • Stable pneumothorax management

Registered Nurse Qualifications Required Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
Licensure
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Missouri RN License or Compact State RN License
  • Must meet all applicable state board of nursing requirements
Certifications
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
  • Additional unit-specific certifications as required
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, twist, and perform physical patient care activities
