Job SummaryThe Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Coach is responsible for leading and developing the JV girls soccer program ncis Borgia High School. The coach will oversee all aspects of the JV team, including organizing practices, managing games, developing student‑athletes’ skills, and fostering a positive, faith‑centered team culture that reflects the mission and values of St. Francis Borgia High School.
Job Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and conduct all JV practices and games during the spring season.
- Teach soccer fundamentals, rules, strategies, conditioning, and sportsmanship.
- Develop players’ technical skills and tactical understanding in alignment with the varsity program.
- Collaborate with the Varsity Girls Soccer Coach to ensure program consistency and athlete progression.
- Supervise and mentor student-athletes, promoting teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.
- Maintain and manage equipment and uniforms in coordination with the athletic department.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, administration, and school staff.
- Promote academic success and positive behavior among student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and MSHSAA regulations.
- Assist with team meetings, workouts, and program development activities as needed.
- Coordinate with the athletic department regarding transportation, scheduling, and facilities.
- Serve as a positive Christian role model for student-athletes.
- Previous soccer coaching experience preferred (high school or youth level).
- Knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and training methods.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to supporting the mission of Catholic education.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- MSHSAA certification or eligibility for certification.
