Direct Support Professional (DSP)
In Good Company Care and Supports provides home- and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey. We're looking for compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to join our team - both full-time and part-time positions available.
What You'll Do- Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and outings
- Follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans as directed
- Administer medication as trained and authorized (where applicable)
- Document services provided accurately and in accordance with NJ DDD requirements
- Communicate regularly with families, care team members, and agency staff regarding the individual's needs and progress
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment at all times
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred, but not required - we provide training
- Patient, compassionate, and dependable
- Strong communication skills and good judgment
- Comfortable with personal care tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks and complete DDD-mandated training (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.
- provided by the company) - High school diploma or equivalent
- Full-time and part-time schedules available
- Positions based in homes and communities throughout New Jersey
- Required certifications and training provided
