Role

The Gorge seeks a Venue Sustainability Crew to enhance the sustainability program and team to new heights in 2026. The role is the backbone of Live Nation’s resource recovery and circularity program and is responsible for ensuring maximum landfill diversion during event waste sorting, educating fans and staff, and supporting the Venue Sustainability Manager’s efforts. This seasonal, part‑time position has variable hours based on show schedule and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in venue sustainability crew onboarding and training.
  • Assist in mid and post‑show waste sorting process of all recycling, composting, donations, and landfill materials.
  • Be available to work show and non‑show days, weekdays and weekends, to ensure all waste is sorted and diverted.
  • Assist the Venue Sustainability Manager and Supervisor with educational support to crew members and fans.
  • Maintain a clean sorting area and support the post‑show pick after each event, including scheduled shifts on days after a show.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Venue Sustainability Manager on an as‑needed basis.
Qualifications
  • Physical ability to spend about 90% of time walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, carrying 50+ lbs, with 75% in sorting.
  • Comfortable working in dirty environments with unpleasant odors.
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather.
  • Strong time‑management skills to arrive on time and work late hours.
  • Dedication to make a real impact on sustainability.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Experience with events/zero‑waste events is a plus.

Compensation

$17.13 USD - $19.00 USD Hourly
