OverviewThe Director of Development of Global Fellowship will lead our team to develop and implement strategic and productive marketing campaigns that will increase the relational and financial resources necessary to reach those who have not heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Global Fellowship is an excellent place to channel your passion for Jesus by championing indigenous church‑planters and building a funding base for them to do the most effective work in spreading the Gospel.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Lead the Development Department in ways consistent with Global Fellowship’s mission and values.
- Increase commitment from churches for indigenous fundraising and work closely with the Church Networker & Director of Training to build positive relationships that will encourage churches to support financially.
- Pursue churches and individuals to support the work of Global Fellowship missionaries and projects.
- Build our brand strategy and collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop cohesive marketing materials across all our departments.
- Research and identify potential donors and implement strategies to cultivate and steward positive relationships.
- Ensure excellent external communication by utilizing media platforms such as newsletters, podcasts, and blogs.
- Manage the Event Coordinator, Plan Summits, Events, and Fundraisers to secure a successful event.
- Collaborate with the Mission Stream team to grow and support the MS missionaries and brand on a “request only” basis from the President of Mission Stream, but not as part of a Global Fellowship “job” that reports to the E.D.’s.
- Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to create annual reports and collaborate with the IT Coordinator to ensure the GF/MS websites and content are optimized for UI and SEO.
- Manage grant proposal implementation and reporting.
- Conduct field visits to assist in raising support for indigenous leaders.
- Raise personal support.
As Director of Development, you are committed to and eloquently articulate Global Fellowship's mission and core values. You possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to create and professionally present marketing materials. You have a passion for reaching the unreached with the Gospel and a heart for indigenous church planters to be well equipped with resources to make the most significant impact for the Kingdom.
ALittle About Your Background
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work appropriately.
- Preferably a B.A. in Business Administration, Communications, or Marketing.
- Ample experience successfully implementing marketing campaigns and fundraising.
- Experience in securing grants and caring for major donors.
- Knowledgeable with Adobe Suite, MS Office Suite, Google Workspace, and all major social media platforms.
- Able to work during the occasional weekend for events and indigenous fundraising.
- Capable of working in the evening when missionaries are visiting (e.g., dinner or hosting).
- Able to lead an effective team to accomplish goals from various approaches.
- Travel and visit fields.
- Strong communication skills.
