Academic Coach
Provide academic coaching, tutoring, supplemental instruction, and student success support to participants in the TRIO Student Support Services Program. Assist with the planning and implementation of academic support services, student programs, outreach activities, and retention initiatives designed to promote persistence, graduation, and transfer. Collaborate with the TRIO Director to foster a welcoming, student-centered learning environment and support the overall mission of the TRIO Student Support Services Program.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Reading, English, Education, a STEM discipline, or a closely related field. Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to explain academic concepts to students with diverse learning styles. General knowledge of educational technology and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience working with low-income, first-generation college students and/or students with disabilities. Experience providing tutoring, supplemental instruction, or academic coaching in a secondary or postsecondary setting. Experience supporting students in mathematics, science, reading, writing, or study skills. Familiarity with computer-assisted instructional technologies.
Essential Duties - 1. Provide individualized academic coaching, tutoring, and supplemental instruction to TRIO participants.
2. Staff designated TRIO academic support spaces and assist in maintaining welcoming, student-centered learning environments.
3. Monitor student progress and communicate concerns and recommendations to the TRIO Director.
4. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student support activities.
5. Assist with planning and implementing TRIO workshops, student programs, and academic success initiatives.
6. Support participant engagement, retention, and approved recruitment and outreach activities consistent with TRIO Student Support Services regulations.
7. Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to connect students with appropriate academic support services.
8. Assist with the preparation and organization of the Jordan Center and other TRIO academic support spaces.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of TRIO Student Support Services.
