General AccountabilityThis position is responsible for the quality and production of the FFS machines. It reports directly to the Shift Team Lead.
Shift and CompensationThis role operates the Form Fill Seal (FFS) Packaging Machine on a 12‑hour rotating night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am.
Week 1:
Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
Week 2:
Wed, Thu, Fri
The role pays $16.50 /hr + $2.00 /hr night shift differential.
Note:

- Operate medical assembly packaging machines (FFS#1, FFS#2, FFS#3) – Rotation Required
- Ensure equipment is running within MATTEC parameters
- Changeover tooling for each product
- Setup and operate printer for labeling and date code information
- Change top and bottom web as needed
- Assist employees in changing over barrel lube and assembly fixtures
- Stage for next job (print plate and fixtures)
- Manage the assembly team during the Team Leader’s absence
- Review and complete DHRs (close job books)
- Inspect product and packaging for high quality
- Ensure daily production goals are reached and scrap is kept at a minimum
- Monitor labor usage and ensure the proper number of employees are being used during each production run
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues that create downtime or poor quality
- The position would also be required to fill in wherever needed. The following areas are included:
- Inside material handler
- Warehouse material handler
- Assembly inspector
- Pack‑out box packer
- Pack‑out inspector
- Flex line inspector
- Assembly flex line
- Auto bag
- High School Diploma or GED
- This position requires the ability to read, comprehend, and follow the Operating Instructions and Manufacturing Specifications for the work being performed by the operator in assembly.
- This position requires basic math skills. The operator must be able to count parts accurately and perform simple arithmetic functions with assistance from a calculator.
Skills and Abilities
- This position requires corrected eyesight of 20/20 for the visual quality inspections that are performed on parts.
- Basic computer skills—keyboarding
- This position requires some physical movement around the machine areas. The operator will stand for 90% of their work shift with two scheduled breaks and a 20‑minute lunch.
- Some lifting of boxes or totes may be required intermittently.
- The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
