Position: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job

Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse — Long-Term Care travel assignment in Washington, North Carolina. Start date 05/16/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range $1,341 to $1,375. Shift is 8 hours per day on a 5x8 schedule (days), with a typical day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work setting is a long‑term care environment providing resident‑centered care with a focus on geriatrics.

This is a travel, temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of an RN, including monitoring and reporting changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, perform routine nursing tasks, and document all care accurately
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding, mobility) and support dignity and comfort
  • Assist with and participate in care planning, implement prescribed plans, and communicate resident status to the care team
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential charting; ensure infection control and safety standards are followed
  • Respond promptly to call bells, assess distress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident well‑being
Requirements
  • Active North Carolina LPN license or compact license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1+ year of geriatric LPN experience
  • Graduate of an approved practical nursing program
  • PCC experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in a long‑term care setting and follow established policies and procedures
