- Operates various hand tools, such as pliers, vice grips, hammers, squares, chisels, and screwdrivers, and power tools, such as grinders, drills, come-a-longs, saws, hydraulic knock-outs, and hydraulic jacks, to fit filter units.
- Uses TIG welding to put together parts of a filter unit.
- Reads blueprints to know how to fit metal parts together.
- Measures and uses math skills to accurately place parts and drill holes.
- Operates a crane or hand truck to move filter units.
- Performs minor maintenance on the welding machines.
- Performs housekeeping duties in the welding area.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Must successfully pass an AAF TIG Welding test.
- Must be capable of learning to build any product from a blueprint with minimal assistance.
- May be required to obtain a crane operator's license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Various welding skills are needed.
- Skill is needed to be able to operate hand and power tools.
