Overview
Join our team as a Registered Nurse Charge Supervisor at Valley Vista Medical Group in Prosser, WA. This is a full-time, exempt position with relocation not offered.

Registered Nurse Charge Supervisor, Prosser, WA - Employment duration:

Non-exempt
- Salary: $42.44-$51.99/hour DOE with potential increase for highly experienced candidates
- Hiring/Retention Bonus Structure (pro-rated based on FTE):
- At Hire: $2,850.00
- At 180 days (6 months): $3,800.00
- At 12 months: $2,850.00

- Coaches, mentors and trains direct report staff; manages performance evaluations and provides feedback when addressing performance and behavior issues.
- Supports staff growth and development; identifies training needs and creates action plans including mandatory training.
- Participates in recruitment and orientation; outlines job requirements, policies, procedures, and proper use of tools and equipment.
- Develops and implements annual department work plan; coordinates staff workload and patient scheduling; collaborates with ancillary staff to maintain smooth patient flow.
- Provides patient care, obtains vital signs, collects health history, and develops baseline physical assessments.
- Provides information to patients regarding procedures, site selection, and possible complications.
- May perform IV starts.
- Documents health history, assessments, actions, and medications in the EMR system; assists providers in diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Explains medications, side effects, and obtains patient consent; collaborates with other providers in developing patient plans of care.
- Coordinates interagency referrals and initiates follow-up care as needed.
- Plans agendas for departmental and advisory meetings and monitors program progress to ensure requirements are met.
- Ensures processes related to daily patient care are compliant and effective; represents the agency and collaborates with community partners as applicable.
- Assists with insurance prior authorizations, formulary rejections, and related requests as directed by medical providers.
- Performs clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.
- Associate's or higher in Nursing
- One year of experience as an RN required; two years of supervisory experience preferred
- WA State RN license; dual licensure in WA and OR required within 120 days of hire
- If on a participating Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, provide proof of license in the state of residence
- Provide proof of completion for required suicide prevention training during onboarding
- If relocating to WA, obtain WA RN license within 6 months of hire and update primary residence within 60 days
- Military Nurses are not required to obtain an NLC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
