Job Summary
Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC) in Clallam Bay, WA is hiring a Registered Nurse 2 (RN2) on‑call. The RN2 works on all shifts—day, swing, and graveyard—including weekends and holidays, supporting the health and wellness of the prison population.
Compensation & Benefits- Shift differential: $2.50 per hour for evening and night shifts.
- Additional premium: $1.00 per hour for hours worked 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Additional premium: $3.00 per hour for hours worked Friday midnight–Sunday midnight.

- Van‑pool incentives available through the DOC Clallam Transit Van‑pool program.
- Be available to work all shifts (day, swing, graveyard) including weekends and holidays as requested.
- Provide written availability by the 10th of each month for the following month’s coverage.
- Complete a paid six‑week correctional worker core training (not required).
- Deliver nursing services that promote health, foster healing, and support coping and adjustment to various health conditions.
- Screen, assess, and evaluate incarcerated individuals and the conditions.
- Respond to all other requests for health care attention in a timely, clinically appropriate, and therapeutic manner.
- Delegate and supervise work, monitor, manage, coordinate, and deliver health care.
- Plan transitions, make referrals, and arrange follow‑up when patients transfer or return to the community.
- Assist patients in improving their skills and ability to care for themselves and their families.
- Provide counseling, consulting, teaching, and health information to improve quality of health services and enhance safety and security.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Washington State.
- If holding a multi‑state/compact license, must change primary residence to WA and obtain a WA State multi‑state license within 60 days of employment.
- Holding a valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse prior to employment.
- Continuous, unencumbered/unrestricted licensure.
- Minimum one year of experience as a registered nurse.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Willingness and ability to work 10 shifts per month to qualify for benefits.
- Undergo a background check and provide proof of identity and work eligibility per federal I‑9 requirements.
- Must be able to climb stairs, walk long distances, and lift up to 30 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
