Healthcare Nursing, Public Health Nurse
Lake Chelan School District has an opening for a Middle/High School Nurse beginning with the 2026/2027 school year. This position is for 6.5 hours per day / 180 days at $43.51-$56.79 per hour (dependent upon experience).
Minimum Qualifications- Valid Washington State License as a Registered Nurse
- ESA Certificate, preferred
- Knowledge of current Washington State school health requirements preferred
- Bilingual/bicultural (English/Spanish) encouraged to apply
- WA State Patrol, FBI and Sexual Misconduct Clearance
- Function as a resource person for all areas of health curriculum.
- Plan and provide health in-service activities for staff.
- Cooperate with school personnel in identifying and meeting social, emotional and physical needs of students.
- Act as a resource person in screening students with health conditions and developing appropriate care plans.
- Establish and maintain current health records.
- Conduct required health screenings and make referrals for medical care as needed.
- Supervise administration of students’ medication to ensure compliance with WA State laws.
- Assess student and staff health complaints and provide health counseling and medical referrals as needed.
- Monitor student immunization status and coordinate immunization clinics as needed.
