Location: Pomeroy
Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a Travel RN – Emergency Department (ED) in Pomeroy, Washington. This 13‑week assignment starts 07/12/2026 and requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.
Key Responsibilities- Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
- Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the shift, responding to immediate needs.
- Observe and document patient conditions and vital signs, addressing deviations to prevent complications.
- Respond to life‑saving situations in line with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Initiate patient education plans based on individualized needs in an acute setting.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Perform additional duties within the scope of practice and adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an ER RN.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certification.
- Certifications such as TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE.
- Other relevant certifications or licenses may be required for this position.
- Critical thinking and service excellence.
- Strong interpersonal communication and English language proficiency.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- PC skills for documentation.
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment up to 100 lbs, push, pull, and bend.
- Professional attitude when working with diverse personnel.
- Fine motor skills for assisting with procedures and departmental equipment.
- Coping with frequent public contact and pressureful schedules.
- Visual acuity and effective communication.
