Position Overview

The Clinical Education Manager plays a vital role in promoting the safety and well‑being of patients, employees, volunteers, and the community by leading infection prevention initiatives, supporting the ongoing professional development of employees, and taking a proactive approach to education initiatives with partner facilities and clinics. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating infection control programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., DOH, CMS, OSHA) and serves as a liaison with public health agencies as needed.

The Clinical Education Manager serves as a cross‑trained operational resource to ensure continuity of leadership and patient care across hospice clinical programs, including coverage for the Hospice House Manager and the In‑Home Hospice Manager during planned and unplanned absences. In addition, this position leads clinical education efforts by facilitating onboarding of nurses and certified nursing assistants (CNAs), providing regular in‑services, training sessions, and continuous learning opportunities that support employee competencies, regulatory compliance, and excellence in hospice and palliative care.

The RN ensures that clinical education aligns with end‑of‑life care, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence.

The Clinical Education Manager provides educational outreach to schools, healthcare facilities, clinics, and community groups to educate and raise awareness and understanding of hospice and palliative care services. Through these efforts, the Clinical Education Manager helps strengthen community partnerships and promote informed care decisions that support patients and families.
