Registered Nurse – Palliative Care / Hospice

Goldendale, Washington – Klickitat Valley Health – $42.00 – $69.00 per hour – Casual | Varied Shifts

Palliative and hospice nurses provide compassionate care to patients and families navigating serious illness and end‑of‑life situations. This role focuses on dignity, comfort, connection, and honoring the values and wishes of each patient and family.

• Provide nursing care for hospice and palliative patients in home, clinic, hospital, and community settings
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support symptom management and comfort‑focused treatment
• Educate patients and families regarding care options and treatment plans
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and caregivers
• Collaborate with social workers, chaplains, and care teams to ensure coordinated care
• Assist with discharge planning and community resource coordination
• Participate in shared on‑call responsibilities with other hospice RNs

• Compassionate and patient‑centered nursing care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to support patients and families during emotionally complex situations
• Critical thinking and independent clinical judgment
• Commitment to teamwork and coordinated care

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Washington State RN license (BSN preferred but not required)
• BLS certification required

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for patient visits
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards

• Minimum two years of nursing experience required
• Home Health or Hospice experience preferred

Hourly Pay: $42.41 – $69.44
