Registered Nurse (Healthcare)

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the hospital setting. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The RN delivers high-quality care while adhering to established protocols, regulatory guidelines, and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities Patient Care:

Perform comprehensive patient assessments to identify and address individual care needs.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition promptly.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.

Emergency and Acute Care:

Conduct triage to prioritize care based on patient acuity.
Respond to life-threatening conditions with prompt, evidence-based interventions.
Stabilize patients experiencing medical emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
Provide care to patients with diverse diagnoses, from acute illnesses to chronic conditions.

Clinical Expertise:

Operate and maintain medical equipment according to established protocols.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain proficiency in advanced interventions, such as wound care, IV therapy, and cardiac monitoring.

Documentation and Reporting:

Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Communicate effectively with providers, team members, and patients to ensure continuity of care.
Report significant changes in patient conditions or critical incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Patient Advocacy and

Education:

Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
Advocate for patients rights, safety, and preferences within the care team.
Provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful or traumatic situations.

Team

Collaboration:

Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other nurses to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.
Participate in daily care rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings to optimize care outcomes.
Mentor and support less experienced staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
