Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry Contract in Chewelah, Washington

This Washington nursing job offers strong clinical experience supporting adult and geriatric patients on a busy telemetry-supported medical-surgical unit.

- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights

Schedule:
36 hours per week - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
- Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry in a critical access environment
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend minimum
- Floating: May float between acute care units as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
- Active Registered Nurse license
; compact license must be in hand at submission - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic documentation required
- Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Ability to care for patients with complex medical and surgical needs
- Comfort working a night shift schedule and providing care with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Flexibility to float between sister acute care units when census requires
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and support blood product administration
- Perform central line, PICC, and peripheral line care and maintenance
- Provide wound care, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway support as needed
- Support patients with chest tubes, feeding tubes, and other common med-surg interventions
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias, seizure precautions, and rapid response situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit standards
