Compensation: $47.00hr-$77.00hr depending on experience, plus $5hr shift differential
A rural community hospital serving a growing regional population is seeking an experienced Nurse House Supervisor to join its nursing leadership team on nights. The facility, located in a scenic four-season region of central Washington known for its abundant sunshine and outdoor recreation, is a 50 bed acute care hospital that plays a vital role in providing local healthcare services. This role is key to ensuring smooth, efficient hospital operations during night shifts, including administrative oversight when senior leadership is unavailable.
Whatyou'll do
- Serve as House Supervisor for a 50 bed rural healthcare facility.
- Collect and analyze data on patient admissions, transfers, and bed availability across specified clinical areas to improve patient care and maximize bed utilization.
- Ensure patients are admitted to the most appropriate level of care and bed assignment using established admission criteria.
- Act as liaison among physicians, nursing leadership, nursing unit staff, care management staff, and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient hospital operations.
- In the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer, serve as Administrator on Duty, making administrative decisions and providing direction and supervision for operational issues across all hospital departments.
- Reports to the CNO.
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license
- 3 to 5 years of acute care clinical nursing experience
- Experience across a variety of acute care nursing departments
- Advanced knowledge of Case Management and Utilization Review processes, including Inter Qual criteria and acute-care patient status regulations and guidelines
- Certification in ACLS preferred
- Certification in BLS preferred
- Certification in TNCC preferred
- Certification in PALS preferred
- Hourly range of $47.00hr-$77.00hr depending on experience
- $5hr shift differential
