Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Twisp

If you have at least two years of experience, you could be the Methow Valley's next veterinarian! Valley Veterinary Clinic is now hiring two veterinarians. We are a small animal practice but we have large animal facilities, too, if you would like to help us restart our large animal practice. While it's not required, if you have experience in small animal orthopedic surgery, it's a bonus.

What sets us apart is that we are a clinic, not a corporation. We have been open since 1978 and are important members of the Methow Valley community in North Central WA. We practice veterinary medicine, not profit maximization.

This is a full‑time role. Clinic hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Evening or weekend work is not required. Pay is up to $140,000 per year and we offer medical and dental insurance, three weeks of paid vacation and continuing education/licensure reimbursement. Relocation assistance is available.

Who You Are
  • You are a licensed (or license‑eligible) veterinarian in the state of Washington with at least two years of experience.
  • You are ready to relocate to the Methow Valley, WA and are excited to become an important community member, as we are the only veterinary clinic in the area. Here’s more information about the Methow Valley and all it offers.
  • You are competent in soft tissue surgery. It’s a plus if you are competent in orthopedic surgery.
  • You know that urgent and emergency care are important aspects of practicing veterinary medicine. You are looking forward to practicing this type of care, in addition to routine care.
  • You have a strong attention to detail. You know that a practice does not run smoothly unless everyone masters the details of their own work.
  • You’re dependable and you plan your time off in advance, so that if you miss work, it’s for an important reason.
  • You have professional maturity and you are a clear and thoughtful communicator. You prefer working in a team because you work best with others.
What You’ll Do
  • Provide medical, dental, surgical and preventive care for small animals. If you would like to help us restart our large animal practice, that is a bonus.
  • Perform routine examinations and diagnostics, and establish treatment plans.
  • Provide urgent and emergency care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with medical standards and clinic protocols.
  • Be a great team member. Contribute to a positive, respectful, and efficient workplace.
