Medical Director – Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital

Since its establishment, Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital has delivered thorough, compassionate medicine with a strong emphasis on both patient care and team well-being. We are seeking an empathetic, motivated, and thoughtful veterinarian to lead our hospital as Medical Director — where quality medicine, collaboration, and a supportive culture come together.

About Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital

Located in Port Hadlock on the Olympic Peninsula, our AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly Certified, and Fear Free certified practice is a well-established, full-service small animal hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We also have the capacity to treat avian and exotic patients, offering a diverse and engaging caseload.

Situated near the vibrant community of Port Townsend, our location offers a unique blend of natural beauty and rich history. From hiking and kayaking to exploring Victorian architecture and local farms, this is a dynamic and fulfilling place to live and work. With access to the San Juan Islands, Olympic National Park, and proximity to Seattle, the area provides both adventure and balance.

At Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital, we go beyond medicine, building lasting partnerships with pets and their families through proactive, comprehensive, and compassionate care.

Culture

Culture is at the core of who we are. Our team is collaborative, inclusive, and service-oriented. We treat our clients with respect and honesty, knowing that the relationships we create now will last a lifetime. We strive to create a workplace that values its employees and maintains and enhances their skills through ongoing training, investment and communication.

Our hospital is supported by a highly skilled team of LVTs and assistants, creating an environment where veterinarians can practice efficiently and confidently. We also place a strong emphasis on mentorship, offering structured support for newer veterinarians while encouraging continued development for experienced doctors.

As Medical Director, you’ll guide a team that values empathy, professionalism, and partnership, while continuing to strengthen a culture built on Every Pet. Every Person. Every Time.
