Conservation Ranger – – Wesport

MBC is a progressive conservation company. We specialise in providing a wide range of practical, hands‑on solutions to our clients that protect and enhance our environment. Our work is diverse, but can be broken into noxious weed control, pest animal control and monitoring, rehabiliation planting, backcountry trail maintenance, ecological surveys and monitoring, sediment and water management.

We are looking for a suitable person to join our team to assist with a number of projects we have coming up, with a focus on some tough, physical work. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic that is keen to learn and make their mark in our industry.

We are seeking people with experience in the environmental industry in one or more areas that we specialise in. Positions are based with our Buller team (Westport).

• Passion for the outdoors and the New Zealand environment
• Good fitness for physical work
• Ability to work in challenging weather and terrain
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Comfortable working with agrichemicals
• Able to work away from home
• Pass a drug test.

• Previous experience working in outdoor/conservation roles.
