About the OpportunityA growing manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong general ledger background who wants to expand their expertise in inventory and cost accounting.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, inventory analysis, and operational accounting while partnering with cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment and wants to continue developing their accounting skills within a growing organization.
Senior AccountantKey Responsibilities
Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Support inventory accounting and help ensure inventory accuracy through analysis and cycle count reviews.
Partner with Operations to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory activity, and variances.
Assist with product costing, standard costing, and new product introductions.
The Senior Accountant will help improve costing processes, documentation, and reporting.
Participate in annual budgeting and standard cost development.
Provide financial analysis and operational reporting to support business decisions.
The Senior Accountant will ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong general ledger accounting and month-end close experience.
Inventory accounting experience strongly preferred.
Cost accounting experience is a plus but not required. The role offers an opportunity to develop these skills.
Experience with ERP systems such as Deacom, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative team.
