Teaching Assistant; Part-time

Academic Support Position

We are looking for a dedicated individual who wants to help students succeed! This position provides academic support to students under the direction of a teacher and performs a variety of clerical support functions. The vacancy is school-year, part-time, 5.75 hours per day, Monday-Friday. Pay range minimum is $14.06 per hour. The starting rate is based on experience and internal equity.

Qualifications:

• Must meet Qualified Status with two years (at least 48 credits) of post-secondary education OR high school diploma/equivalent and satisfactory completion of a locally-issued assessment (CAPE) test, which can be taken after hire.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
