Schedule & Work Environment
+ Full-Time
+ All shift modalities: 24-hour, 16-hour, 12-hour, and 8-hour shifts available
+ Schedule posted 30 days in advance
+ Call Volume split between primarily 911 emergency response dominant and non-emergency transports
+ Coverage area ranges from urban to rural environments

Ambulance and Chair is a long-standing EMS provider with deep roots in the communities that we serve. Position Summary
The Prehospital Registered Nurse provides advanced life support care in the prehospital setting in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations, regional protocols, and Ambulance and Chair policies. RNs serve as clinical leaders on scene, delivering high-acuity patient care, coordinating resources, and supporting team members to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered outcomes.

Purpose:
The Professional Critical Care Ground (CCG) Nurse will work as part of the critical care ground team. The Professional CCG Nurse will follow PA DOH BLS, ALS and CCG guidelines; and is responsible for the care of critically ill and injured patients. Responsibilities include patient care incorporating assessment, stabilization and intervention techniques consistent with standards and protocols approved by the Medical Director.
The Professional CCG Nurse is expected to execute independent judgment, to deliver appropriate care that is consistent with the clinical protocols, when contact with a medical command physician is not possible. The Professional CCG Nurse fulfills education and experiential requirements as established by the Medical Director, and performs other duties as assigned. Supports and upholds the mission, goals, and objectives, of the UPMC system at all times.
Responsibilities:
+ Adheres to the current uniform policy.
+ Maintains fitness for duty by adhering to all employee health requirements and required medical screenings. Reports injuries and completes the appropriate documentation, no matter how minor, to a supervisor in a timely manner.
