About the Opportunity This is an open position with First Energy Service Company, a subsidiary of First Energy Corp. [SC00]

Duties include:
- Ability and willingness to work safely, following all company safety rules and practices.
- Service, inspect, maintain, and repair the FE fleet, which includes all types of motor vehicles, motorized equipment, and tools.
- Provide emergency road repairs, towing, ferrying, and equipment demonstration.
- Perform physical work under various conditions, including lifting and positioning heavy parts and equipment while working under vehicles or in an upright position.
- Working knowledge of garage work, including performing general mechanical and electrical repair work on heavy trucks, cars, trailers, and field equipment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to prepare accurate records and reports, both written and electronic.
- Ability to perform storm restoration duties within and outside First Energy Service Company service territory. This may require out of town stays and working extended work hours any day of the week including holidays.
Summary of Qualifications include:
- Two years of Automotive/Diesel Mechanic trade school or five years of recent full-time experience as a fleet mechanic.
- Experience as a garage mechanic working on large vehicles, including knowledge of vehicle diagnostic system and methods preferred.
- Class A CDL Preferred, however, it is required after six months of employment.
- Successful candidate must be willing to live within 40 minutes of the Service Center.
