About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to join our WA site‑based team.
This role is a 12‑month parental leave cover position, split between site‑based work and the Perth metro area, with approximately 60% of the role spent on site.
The current project is estimated to start August 2026 and will require a work pattern of 7 days on site, 5 days in office (remote project support and other local Perth work) then 7 days R&R.
Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, this role is to provide support, guidance and technical advice to site leaders and workers in relation to SHEQ, ensuring the team maintains a safe workplace/environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting site team in Risk Management process
- Conducting Inspections and audits at remote locations
- Assisting with incident investigations using the ICAM process
- Lead the review and development of operational procedures and work instructions
- Maintain data and registers in SHEQ Management software
- Facilitate effective resolution of SHEQ incidents and issues
- Perform, facilitate, and assist with incident investigations and action management
- Demonstrate and promote a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental responsibility
- Identify, plan, and conduct environmental activities such as assessment, monitoring, reporting, policy making, and planning
- Assist with the implementation of Radlink’s Employee Assistance Program and drive support for Mental Health blueprint objectives with Mates in Construction
To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates with:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience within the mining industry
- A minimum diploma level qualification in WHS and ICAM training
- Experienced in coaching supervisors and frontline workers
- The ability to travel long distances and work on remote sites
- Qualifications in Quality Auditing, with proven experience in conducting management system audits
- Strong interpersonal skills and an effective collaborator, capable of working well independently or as part of a team
- High-level communication and training skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, vendors, and suppliers
- Sound interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with others
- In-depth understanding and practical application of Australian WHS Acts and Regulations
- Proven experience in the development and implementation of management systems, processes, and procedures
- Eligibility to work in Australia & Current C‑Class Drivers’ Licence.
