Job Overview

The QC Regional Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing daily quality control operations to ensure all products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements across multiple facilities in Washington and Georgia. This role requires regular travel between Washington and Georgia based on seasonal production and business needs.

Job Duties
  • Oversee and support daily quality control and food safety activities across multiple facilities.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to site‑level QC teams, ensuring alignment with company standards and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance across the facility with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality Assurance programs.
  • Lead and maintain in‑house quality systems, including SQF certification and documentation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead customer, corporate, and internal audits across multiple sites.
  • Oversee audit responses, ensuring timely development and execution of corrective action plans in collaboration with FSQA and Operations teams.
  • Analyze regional quality data and trends; prepare and present product and process quality reports to leadership.
  • Partner with Operations, Food Safety, and Supply Chain teams to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance across regions.
  • Provide guidance and escalation support for out‑of‑specification results; ensure proper investigation and resolution across sites.
  • Supervise product inspections and audits, including code‑date verification, packaging integrity, and overall product quality.
  • Ensure consistency in sampling programs, lab testing, data analysis, and documentation practices across facilities.
  • Review and evaluate shelf‑life studies and product retain samples; provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen technical capability and performance.
  • Lead or participate in regional continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
  • Travel between Washington and Georgia facilities as required to support seasonal operations, audits, and team development.

Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing or influencing teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong knowledge of quality and food safety systems, including GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards.
  • Ability to drive consistency and standardization across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and deliver measurable results.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills in a multi‑site environment, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to present data and recommendations to leadership.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage travel and competing priorities.
  • Ability to analyze moderately complex data, including production metrics and quality reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within food manufacturing or a regulated industry.
  • At least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role (or demonstrated leadership of projects/teams).
  • Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF (or other GFSI‑recognized standards).
  • Experience supporting or participating in internal, customer, or regulatory audits.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and food safety requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data tracking and analysis.
