Job Summary

The Manager, Quality plans, directs, and coordinates all on-site QC functions and activities to ensure compliance with applicable company, owner, and government regulations and requirements. Establishes and conducts internal/external audits to ensure quality control requirements are met. Decides acceptance or rejection of all work in process and completed work activities.

Essential Functions
  • Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its 'Core Values'.
  • Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's 'Code of Business Conduct and Ethics'.
  • Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
  • Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action.
  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
  • Under general direction, is accountable for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within a function.
  • Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
  • Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, and terminates subordinate personnel. Establishes department and individual goals/objectives and directs, and actively participates as necessary, subordinate personnel in achievement of responsibilities and objectives.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 6+ years related experience in QA/QC management.
  • 2+ years' experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Current certification in a discipline specific inspection process (e.g. AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, NACE, etc.) preferred.
  • Previous experience in radiographic testing, magnetic particle testing, and liquid penetrant testing desirable.
  • Must have extensive field welding knowledge, in the following weld processes (SAW, SMAW, and FCAW).
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, codes and standards.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Hiring range: $55.00 to $70.00 per hour

Full range for this position, available over time: $55.00 to $70.00 per hour
