Description

Performs quality‑related inspection, record keeping, testing, analysis, and reporting activities to ensure AA&D products meet customer specifications and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Provides support in maintaining the Quality Management System.

Essential Job Functions
  • Performs inspections with gauge blocks, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Operates technical inspection equipment (e.g., Faro arm, Instron) and generates formal inspection reports.
  • Creates and maintains records for handling nonconforming products and materials.
  • Performs inspections of incoming materials and components to ensure conformance to acceptance criteria.
  • Supports the effort to maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9000 and AS9100) by collecting, organizing, and presenting quality data.
  • Supports programs that assist manufacturing in consistent quality improvement efforts.
  • Works on various assigned quality projects.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods/SPC.
  • Ability to manage job stress and interact effectively with others.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic skills in the MS Office Suite and navigating local area computer networks.
  • Effective communication in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Commitment to continuing education and attending quality training.
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of four years’ work experience in a related field.
Reporting
  • Dotted‑line report to Shift Supervisor for daily product inspection priorities.
  • Works directly with other employees in a team environment.
  • Collaborates with engineering, management, and production crews for problem solving and production improvements.
