We are seeking an energetic and motivated Quality Technician to join our team. In this position, the Technician will be responsible for assuring quality at LDB Beverage by conducting validation procedures before, during, and after manufacturing runs to ensure that products comply with quality standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional precision, meticulous record-keeping, and a high degree of accuracy. This candidate excels in problem-solving and is capable of integrating seamlessly into our existing systems while contributing to their continued improvement.

This role requires interaction with employees across all levels of the organization to achieve objectives, as they relate to GMPs, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), organic, gluten free and kosher certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and stage ingredients for blending, ensuring consistency and compliance with quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Verify ingredients meet quality and safety requirements before use.
    • Document measurements, batch records, and quality checks in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards.
    • Assist with corrective actions if deviations or discrepancies are identified.
    • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate and complete records.
  • Inventory Management
    • Perform regular counts and reconciliations to ensure accurate stock levels.
    • Report low stock, variances, or quality issues promptly to supervisors or quality teams.
  • Food Safety & Workplace Standards
    • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and GMP requirements.
    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas to prevent cross-contamination.
    • Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide input on process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and product quality.
General Accountabilities
  • Complete daily and intermittent internal audits throughout the facility to ensure that all staff follow all safety and quality policies.
  • Review periodically the Routine Maintenance checklists to ensure they are being completed. Review checklists to detect any gaps, then communicate as necessary with the Facilities Manager.
  • Review packaging run paperwork prior to runs.
  • Perform daily audits of completed paperwork and report all failures to the Packaging/Cellar Leads, Quality & EHS Manager, and any other stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct field tests to ensure equipment and HACCP processes are performing as expected.
  • Conduct periodic internal calibration procedures on equipment.
  • Train staff as it relates to GMPs, safety, and quality
  • Collect and prepare for shipment any customer and/or LDB required samples.
  • Track and manage any finished product or raw materials on QC hold, ensuring all re-work is completed to specification for release.
  • Identify areas for quality control improvement and assist to implement new methods accordingly.
  • Conduct scheduled facility waste water samplings and report to the necessary parties on findings.
  • Update job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management, participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and maintain personal networks.
  • Actively engage in LDB communication mechanisms (Basecamp and email)
  • Any other tasks or projects, as determined by Quality & EHS Manager.

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour
