Food Service Worker; Cashier

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 92 Force Support Squadron, Alder House, Fairchild AFB, WA.

The purpose of this position is to perform a wide variety of manual tasks in food preparation and food service areas.

This is a Flex (Intermittent) position;
Guaranteed 0-40 hours per week; depending on the needs of the facility. Who May Apply:

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;

if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Ability to follow simple oral instructions. Ability to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines. Skill in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Experience in operation of a cash register, direct handling of cash items and cash accountability is desirable.

Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

Continual standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally lifts or moves objects weighing over 40 pounds with assistance.
