Summary

We are seeking a reliable and adaptable individual to join our culinary team as a Sub Cook. In this substitute role, you will step in to assist with food preparation and cooking in the absence of the regular kitchen staff. Your ability to follow recipes, maintain kitchen hygiene, and work efficiently under pressure will contribute to the overall success of our food service operations.

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and menus.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout food preparation and cooking processes.
• Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations and dining areas.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food.
• Monitor food inventory and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Follow instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager regarding daily tasks and special requests.
• Adapt to various kitchen roles as required, including line cooking, prep work, and dishwashing.

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
