Role OverviewThe Freight Clerk is an organized and energetic member of the Receiving team. Responsibilities include unloading delivery trucks, handling merchandise, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining inventory. The role delivers a high degree of customer service and supports the store's freight and receiving operations.
Responsibilities- Unload delivery trucks quickly and safely.
- Accurately handle merchandise and store in the backroom or restock the sales floor.
- Assist with inventory replenishment and stocking.
- Perform cashiering tasks as needed.
- Maintain merchandise and ensure proper organization.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to arrive on time and maintain a positive, friendly attitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize workload.
- Efficient problem‑solving and offering solutions to customers.
- Ability to engage with and assist a variety of individuals.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
Previous experience as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, warehouse worker, or other retail positions is a plus. Experience at Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons is also an asset.
ScheduleShift work outside normal business hours. Four 10‑hour overnight shifts, hours and days may vary based on location and workload.
