Customer Service Associate – Airway Heights, WA (Full Time)

Location: 1418 S. Garfield Rd, Airway Heights, WA 99001

Salary: $17.13 – $20.83 per hour with $3.00 shift differential eligibility

Primary

Job Responsibilities
  • Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump.
  • Accurately ring up all sales on POS system, comply with all cash handling procedures including other payment types.
  • Responsible for all cash and other forms of tender (e.g., coupons).
  • Comply with company policies and store procedures, including all safety and environmental policies.
  • Maintain inventory: receive, stock, organize merchandise, assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
  • Participate in all safety programs and trainings, attend mandatory job‑related meetings.
  • Perform cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, basic upkeep of equipment, and identify equipment problems to report.
  • Work cohesively with other employees and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Execute duties with minimal supervision and may be required to work flexible hours, attend job‑related meetings and other duties as assigned.
  • Obtain and maintain all required food and age‑restricted product certifications within two weeks of employment.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) to read numbers, see gas pumps, and notice potential problems.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures (e.g., respond to alarms, contact 911).
  • Frequent reaching overhead, gripping, wrist movement, finger dexterity required to restock inventory, package items, operate POS, process payments, issue change, operate gas pumps, wipe pumps, maintain store grounds, and general housekeeping.
  • Frequent squatting and kneeling to obtain and/or replenish items.
  • Ability to push/pull with arms up to 20 lbs using a hand‑truck.
  • Frequent lifting of 20 lbs or less from floor to waist, overhead, and carry a short distance.
  • Occasionally required to lift in excess of stated conditions up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a step ladder to stock or retrieve materials and/or place or remove signs.

Note:

There may be exposure to gas fumes and solvents, and occasional noise.

Qualifications
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales and handling cash preferred.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written), including telephone communication.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts, arrive on time.
  • Ability to work with equipment, tools, and materials as required.
  • Ability to perform essential duties in the described conditions.
