Vesuvio Pasta is a family-owned artisan pasta manufacturer based in Malaga, supplying premium fresh pasta, gnocchi and Italian food products to restaurants, cafés, hotels, retailers and wholesalers across Western Australia.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and charming Business Development Representative to become the face of our business on the road. This is a hands‑on business development role focused on introducing Vesuvio Pasta to new customers, creating new sales opportunities and growing our presence across Perth's hospitality, retail and wholesale markets.
You'll spend most of your time out meeting chefs, restaurant owners, grocers and business operators, introducing our products, providing samples and building genuine relationships that turn into long‑term customers. You'll also maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure they continue to receive exceptional service and support.

About the RoleWorking approximately three days per week, your primary focus will be identifying, approaching and developing new business opportunities for Vesuvio Pasta.
You'll be out on the road visiting prospective customers, introducing them to the Vesuvio Pasta range, providing product samples and presentations, following up leads and converting opportunities into ongoing customers.
You'll also regularly visit existing hospitality, retail and wholesale customers to nurture strong relationships, provide a personalised, artisan level of service and care, and identify opportunities to continue growing together.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is confident approaching new businesses and takes pride in building genuine, long‑term customer relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities across Perth and WA's hospitality, retail and wholesale markets.
Proactively visit prospective customers and introduce them to Vesuvio Pasta and our product range.
Provide product samples and presentations to chefs, restaurant owners, grocers and other business operators.
Follow up enquiries, leads and sampling opportunities to convert prospective customers into ongoing accounts.
Build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities and maintain regular follow‑up.
Visit existing customers to maintain strong relationships and identify opportunities for further growth.
Ensure existing customers receive exceptional service and ongoing support.
Record customer visits, enquiries, leads and sales activity.
Work closely with the production and operations team regarding customer requirements and opportunities.
Represent the Vesuvio Pasta brand professionally at all times.
About YouWe're looking for someone who:
- Has previous sales, business development, hospitality or customer service experience.
- Is confident approaching new businesses and starting conversations with prospective customers.
- Enjoys meeting people and building genuine relationships.
- Has a passion for quality food and the hospitality industry.
- Is confident speaking with chefs, restaurant owners and business operators.
- Is self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Is organised and consistent with following up leads and opportunities.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is reliable, professional and well presented.
- Holds a current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Experience in food manufacturing, wholesale food distribution or hospitality is highly regarded but not essential.
- Part‑time or casual position (approximately 3 days per week).
